Gentle, Individualized Care for Infants & Children

Whether your child is experiencing challenges related to birth, feeding, development, or tension, we're here to provide compassionate care that supports their comfort, movement, and overall well-being.

As parents, we want nothing more than to see our children healthy, comfortable, and thriving. When something doesn't seem quite right, whether it's difficulty feeding, excessive tension, digestive discomfort, or challenges with movement it can leave you searching for answers.

At Full Function Wellness, we understand that every child is unique. We take the time to listen to your concerns, carefully evaluate your child's needs, and provide gentle, individualized care using the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release® approach.

Our goal is to support your child's comfort, movement, and development while partnering with you every step of the way.

How Myofascial Release Can Help

Infants and children experience physical stresses just like adults. Pregnancy, birth, rapid growth, falls, injuries, and everyday activities can all place physical stress on a developing body.

Because Myofascial Release uses gentle, sustained pressure, it can be adapted for infants and children. Treatment is always adjusted to your child's age, comfort, and individual needs.

Rather than simply addressing symptoms, Myofascial Release works to identify and release restrictions that may be contributing to discomfort or difficulty with movement and function.

What to Expect During Your Child’s Visit

Every child responds differently to treatment. We begin by talking with you about your child's history, development, concerns, and goals. We'll then observe how your child moves and interacts with their environment before beginning gentle hands-on work.

Treatment is adapted to your child's age and comfort level. Infants may be treated while being held, lying down, or in another position that feels comfortable. Older children may participate more actively in the process.

There is no expectation that a child remain perfectly still or follow a traditional massage-style session. We work with your child, not against them.

What Makes Our Approach Different

We Listen

Every child has their own story. We take time to understand your concerns before beginning treatment.

We Individualize Care

No two children are alike. Every treatment is adapted to your child's age, comfort, and specific needs.

We Look Beyond Symptoms

Rather than focusing only on where a problem appears, we evaluate the body as an interconnected whole to identify restrictions that may be contributing to your child's challenges.

You Know Your Child Best.

If you've been told everything looks normal, but you still feel like something isn't quite right, it's okay to keep asking questions.

Parents know their children better than anyone else.

Whether you're looking for another perspective or exploring supportive care, we're here to listen, answer your questions, and help you determine whether Myofascial Release may be an appropriate part of your child's care.
